To Battle the Dead

I drew this in '06. I am very happy with the skeleton and the woman fleeing in the foreground. I had been looking through a book my sister bought on drawing and illustration and I saw a skeleton in it. It may have been holding a sword or something, but it inspired this. I gave him a spear and a shield (with which I am incredibly pleased- the shield, not the spear).

If I remembered what the book/artist of the original skellington came from I would tell you, but I eyeballed it to draw this because I stink at bones otherwise. Just know that the skeleton IS NOT ORIGINALLY MINE. There. So, if he looks oddly familiar, please don't kill me. I'm not claiming him as an original, but I didn't trace the fellow either.

The rest is all me. I'm pleased with the old woman's hands in particular. The hero needs work, though. By the time I got to her I didn't feel like putting that much effort into it.
